Samsung TU8000 is crystal UHD 4K TV that comes with 4K Upscaling. 4K Upscaling allow us to enjoy excellent picture clarity not only from original 4K content sources but also from non 4K contents that upscaled into near 4K picture quality. Samsung TU8000 also comes with UHD Dimming as its dimming technology. Although it’s not as excellent as local dimming, UHD Dimming is still able to bring good contrast vibrancy on the screen of this TV. The color technology of Samsung TU8000 is PurColor. PurColor is able to deliver rich and accurate color details on the screen of Samsung TU8000 although PurColor is basically only basic color technology for Samsung 4K LED TV. HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG are already supported by Samsung TU8000 so that we can enjoy enhanced details and expanded contrast from wide range of HDR content sources. Crystal Processor 4K is integrated with Samsung TU8000 to optimizes the color, clarity and contrast of the picture delivered on the screen of this TV. Samsung TU8000 comes with quite basic Motion Rate 120 as its motion technology. Although it’s quite basic, Motion Rate 120 that based on 60Hz native refresh rate is still able to deliver smooth motion images for our favorite action movies and sports. Motion Rate 120 is also completed with ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) that can brings better gaming experience. Smart Hub is integrated as the smart TV platform of Samsung TU8000. It can delivers wide range of premium entertainment while also allow us to run wide collection of TIZEN smart apps since it’s powered by TIZEN OS. 802.11ac wireless is already attached to Samsung TU8000 to provide fast and stable internet connection. TM2050A is the remote control that included with Samsung TU8000. TM2050A can works as Samsung OneRemote to control this TV and other connected devices. The speaker system of Samsung TU8000 is quite basic 2Ch 20W. Although it’s quite basic, we can still enjoy good sound quality with Dolby Digital Plus integrated with it. Pros
1. Vibrant Contrast with HDR10+ Support
Although Samsung TU8000 is the model that positioned below Samsung QLED TV series, it’s still able to deliver vibrant contrast on its VA panel. We can also find that Samsung TU8000 already supports HDR10+ so that we can enjoy better color and contrast from HDR10 content sources.
2. Low Input Lag
Although It comes with only Motion Rate 120 that based on 60Hz native refresh rate, we can find that Samsung TU8000 is able to deliver fluid motion images. It’s also able to deliver low input lag with Game Enhancer that support ALLM (Auto Low latency Mode) integrated on its screen.
3. Smart Remote
Not alike its lower model TU7000, Samsung TU8000 already comes with smart remote. TM-2050A is included with this TV that allow us to control this TV conveniently with our voice using its built-in mic. TM-2050A is also able to work as Samsung OneRemote to control this TV and other connected devices conveniently. Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Bixby are already supported by Samsung TU8000 for additional voice control.

1. No Local Dimming
We can’t find local dimming integrated with Samsung TU8000 although we can indeed still enjoy good vibrant contrast on the screen of this TV. Local Dimming is surely able to deliver more excellent contrast vibrancy and more superior light uniformity if it’s integrated on the screen of Samsung TU8000.
2. Standard Built-in Speaker System
The built-in speaker system of Samsung TU8000 is quite standard 2Ch 20W although it’s still able to deliver good sound quality with Dolby Digital Plus integrated with it. If you have higher audio expectation, I’m sure that you need to attach additional soundbar to this TV. You can also setup more advanced AV system with this TV for higher quality audio since It already supports eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel).
